CALL FOR VOLUNTEERING DEVELOPMENT MENTORS

As a follow-up to the four-part KaBAHAGI Programme Basic VMS Workshop, which runs from December 2006 to February 2007, VSO Bahaginan will provide additional technical support through the KaBAHAGI Fellows-volunteer mentors who will assist organizations in polishing their volunteer programme and/or volunteer management system.

In line with this initiative, VSO Bahaginan is calling on individuals with at least 2 years experience in volunteer management or programme development to be a KaBAHAGI Fellow. Mentoring strategies will include face-to-face meetings agreed upon by the Fellow and the organizations and other strategies identified by both parties for the duration of the organization's volunteer programme or manual development (3-6 months) initiative. Extension of the mentoring engagement will be subject to evaluation of the initial engagement and consent of the Fellow. Pre and post mentoring engagement logistical and learning support will be provided to Fellows to support them in the performance of their roles.
