Bahaginan Updates

The first KaBAHAGI fellow posted

VSO Bahaginan, under the KaBAHAGI Programme, recently seconded the first KaBAHAGI Fellow to its partner, Philam Foundation.

Rodolfo Santos, former Programme Manager of VSO Philippines and current member of the Board of Trustees of VSO Bahaginan has volunteered to be a KaBAHAGI Fellow to help Philam Foundation develop a monitoring and evaluation tool and institutionalize their employee volunteering programme. After attending VSO Bahaginan’s Basic Volunteer Management Course, Philam Foundation has been revitalizing their employee volunteering programme now dubbed as Kaakbay.

The KaBAHAGI Fellow initiative is a 3- to 6-month post-training technical support for partner organizations that have undergone the Basic Volunteer Management Course. Fellows help ensure that organizations are able to develop or enhance their volunteer programme and volunteer management policies and procedures that they developed through the course. Fellows are seconded through the KaBAHAGI Programme—VSO Bahaginan’s multi-sector volunteer programme support initiative that aims to promote volunteerism in the country.
