A Week in Mongolia
We thought the captain played a joke on us but it turned out the sandstorm was true. The plane couldn’t land in Ulan Bator so we made a giant u-turn going back to Beijing, which was not after all an unusual occurrence if one regularly goes to Mongolia. We were put up in an airport hotel where we waited hours, trading stories with fellow passengers about what brought us to our shared destination.
