Be a VSO Volunteer

Volunteering with VSO is a chance to use your skills to make a tangible contribution to fighting poverty.

You could make a difference in 1 of over 30 countries, mostly in Africa and Asia.

You will need to be:

> 25 to 65 years old
> college graduate with at least 3 years relevant work experience
> medically fit
> able to speak and write well in English

Developing communities need you to:

> use your professional skills to train and advise colleagues in your area of expertise
> live and work within the local community, usually for 2 years
> work creatively and adapt to unfamiliar situations - often with few resources.

To enable you to take on this challenge you'll get:

> a living allowance, accommodation, insurance and flights
> individually tailored training, support and advice
> pre-departure networking opportunities with other volunteers
> support, grants and advice to help you settle in on your return to your home country.
