WHAT WE DO

VSO Bahaginan supports the promotion of local or national volunteering by way of partnerships with voluntary and volunteer-involving organizations in a range of activities that would support and promote the mobilization and strengthening of local capacities. We encourage active global citizenship that contributes to the development of local communities through volunteering.

The support for National Volunteering can involve any of the following:

• Organizational and staff capacity building of national volunteering partners
• Facilitating sharing and learning, either between volunteering organizations or between partners on how best to harness support from local volunteers
• Partnerships to facilitate the setting up and management of local volunteering programmes - national or regional and both full and part time
• Program Research and Development

KaBAHAGI - VSO Bahaginan implements a multi-stakeholder Volunteering Development Support programme that aims to build the capacities of volunteer involving and placing organizations through training, partnership building and mentoring support. Through its KaBAHAGI fellows, Partners and Network, KaBAHAGI partners from corporate, non-government, government and the volunteer sector improve their volunteer management practice and contribute relevantly to fighting poverty and disadvantage.
